STONE HARBOR - The Stone Harbor Soccer League entered the last two games of the season with three teams still having a chance at the championship. The Purple Martins were in the driver's seat, needing to. win only one game for the title. The whole season came down to

the 5:30 game on Monday evening. In the first game the Black Ravens defeated the Blue Whales 4-1. The RavepS had kept their hope alive with the offensive power of Shawn McCormack. In the second game the Green Goblins needed a victory to keep, the season alive. The game opened up

with a goal for Goblin wing Charles Bastian. Later in the first half, the Martin striker and league's leading scorer David Kohn tied the score with his 13th goal of the season. It wasn't until early in the secpod half that Kohn put the' Martins on top for the first time in the game, but the Goblins bounced back to tie the score at 2-2 with five minutes remaining on a goal from Chris Reuf. Then Martin right wing Brian James drilled a shot into the net to give the Martins the 3-2 victory and the championship. The members of the champion Martins were Amy Dechet, Chris Fullerton, Billy Harshaw, Karl Hofmann, Kevin Hofmann, David Hufner, Gred Huf-

ner, Brian James, David Kohn, Elliot Krichman, Beth Penders, Ryan Petrich, David Pusey, Sarah Pusey, Shannon Scarlett, Martin Longstreth, Jon Errico, David Keown, Brian Davis. Michael Coskey, and Chris Gabage. In the season's final games the Goblins defeated the Whales 3-2 and the Ravens defeated the Martins by the same score. The All Stars played the champion Martins and defeated them 6-0. The size difference allowed the All Stars to control the game Scoring for the All Stars were Scott Juenger and Ed Monahan from the Goblins, Doug Seeliche and Steve Whelan from the Whales and Chris Rice and Wayne , Voltz from the Ravens.
