Cape Agency Asks For Grant
COURT HOUSE / The county is seeking a 117.500 grant from the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs to help construct a 2.00u-square-foot addition to the offices of Cape May Mental Health Services. Inc The funds are sought under the Public Facilities Fund of the Small Cities Community Development Block Grant Program, according to James J. Smith, project review planner of the county Planning Board. THE AGENCY now occupies an office building plus two mobile-home type offices for clients. The proposed project will provide 12 offices for pa bent -client interviews and administrative services, plus a meeting room and lunchroom for staff. Other funds committed to plan are: $25,000 from— Mental Health Services of Cape May County Inc : $30,000 from New JerseyDivision of Mental Health and Hospitals : $10,000 from the county Deadline for the application is Sept. 14 and a reply is hoped for by Dec 1. said Smith Previous county activities funded through these block grants were: senior centers in Ocean Ci- * ty and Upper Township; partial funding for a facility for the Jersey Cape Diagnostic.
