STONE HARBOR - Free minibus, trolley and minivan transportation will be provided for New Jersey Wings and Water Festival goers on Saturday and Sunday Sept. 15-16. Beginning at festival headquarters, the Wetlands Institute, one mile west of Stone Harbor
on Stone Harbor Boulevard, hourly minivans will carry passengers to and from the institute and Jamesway Plaza at Cape May Court House, where a Wings 'n Water Flea Market will be held both days. ALSO BEGINNING at the institute, a minibus and
a trolley will provide transportation every half hour mornings and hourly in the afternoons from 10 to 5 Saturdays and .11 to 4 on Sundays. The trolley will service the Avalon Seaside Garden Tours from 1 to 4 p.m. on both days. Stops for the two vehicles headed oceanward are: St. Mary's Episcopal Church; Stone Harbor School on 3rd Avenue (decorative bird carving and wildlife art shows); Stone Harbor Borough Hall on 2nd , Avenue (federal duck stamp exhibit, N.J. duck
stamp artist and his prints. Federal duck stamp sales); Beach and 96th Street (Coast Guard, Music of the Sea, decoy show and sale, duck calling; and. at Avalon 's Community Hall, 30th and Avalon (Coast Guard activities, music of the sea and parking). Festival events will total 45 in 9 different communities throughout Cape May and Cumberland counties, as a benefit for the Wetlands Institute. uic ncuawu IIBUUIH.

State Grant Helped To Promote Festival
MIDDLE TOWNSHIP - In a statewide competition with 37 other applicants, Middle Township was awarded a matching grant of 12,470 by the state Division of Travel and Tourism of the Department of Commerce and Economic Development. The grant was applied to special promotional costs for the second annual New Jersey Wings 'n Water Festival Saturday and Sunday. The institute will provide all advance funding for the grant. "We are pleased to be among the 12 winners in this statewide ^-competition," said Jim Alexis, Committeeman of Middle Township and Director of Public Works, who also oversees the Township's Grants Department. "The Wetlands Institute festival brings some excellent offseason business into our area and it is fast becoming
a fall showpiece for this county," he added.4" THE FESTIVAL received a similar grant from the state last year for beginning promotional costs. Both tourism grants require use of the state theme "NewJersey and You — Perfect Together." The total awarded by the state for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1984 was 548,677. The other Southern Shore grant winners include the City of Cape May, (3,760, Bridgeton, (4,300 and (4,467, and the Southern Shore Regional Tourism Council (Cape May and Cumberland Counties), (3,967. The grant review committee recommended that (1,323 of the (50,000 allocation for tourism grants be awarded as an incentive bonus to the grant recipient who executes its program in a manner that achieves promotional results over and above projections.
Village Exhibits W .COLD SPRING - Historic Cold Spring Village has added a scallop fishing exhibit, a fish fry on Saturday night, and "Songs of the Sea" by Bill Dempsey at 12:30 and 2 p.m. Saturday on the Village grounds. There will be displays of net mending, fish drying and oyster shell grinding on both days of the festival.
