Services Sunday At Lutheran Home
OCEAN VIEW - Worship services for the public will begin here Sunday in
the chapel of the Lutheran Home on Route 9. The services, sponsored by Messiah Lutheran Church of Sea Isle City and led by its pastor, the Rev. Henry A. Ireland, are scheduled for 9 a.m., followed by Sunday School at 10:15 a.m.
The sermon title is "Do You Know My Name?" Special music will be provided by Judith Jenkins, accompanied by Doris Schofield, Messiah's organist. , "Many people are moving into Dennis and Upper Townships and continued growth is anticipated," Pastor Ireland commented in explaining the reason for the services. MANY PEOPLE are accustomed to a situation in which church and home are close together. They are
not eager to travel five miles tr more to attend services and Sunday School. We want to make an effort to be where the people are." Pastor Ireland went on to say that if the response warrants, consideration would be given to establishing a congregation in the area. Meanwhile, Messiah Lutheran Church will continue to hold services at 42nd and Landis Avenue in Sea Isle City each Sunday at II a.m.
First Baptist WILDWOOD --Rev. Dawn N. Hymn sing starts at 10:45. Pastor Steve Herman will bring the morning message. Jayne Holley supplies the organ music. 'Transformed Life' Theme At Covenant NORTH CAPE MAY - "The Transformed Life" is the theme of the 10:50 a.m. Sunday worship service uf the Covenant Bible Church, Fishing Creek Road, according to the pastor. Dr. George Fincke. Marion Adams and Barbara Bancroft will provide the special music and the service will be broadcast over WCMC, 1230 AM. At the 7 p.m. service, the associate pastor. Rev. George B. Fincke, will speak on "The Son of God," from the Book of Colossians. Dick Sterling will lead the congregational singing, and the service will be broadcast over WSJL-FM, 102 FM. WEDNESDAY at 10 a.m. the Ladies Missionary Society will meet for a covered dish luncheon
Ministry Of Music WEST CAPE MAY - The music ministry of Charles Olivieri will be presented at the First Assembly of God Church, 422 Broadway, 7 p.m. Sunday. Olivieri began his ministry at 48 in 1978 aftftfinding a new life in Christ. Baby Shower Is Benefit NORTH CAPE MAY - "Celebrate. Life", a benefit baby shower, will be held 3 p.m. Sunday Sept. 23, at St. John of God Hall, Town Bank Rd. It is sponsored by the Christ Child Society.

Elijah, Elisha Are Topics Another is a series of sermons on Bible characters, "Elijah and Elisha", will be given by the pastor, the Rev. Fred C. St. Mary's Sets Trip

Home Gets Addition
OCEAN VIEW - The Lutheran Home here has begun construction of a new 66-bed, skilled nursing wing.
A medical day care center will also be added to the existing facility. This expansion will cost *2,634,060.
Ex-Rabbi To Speak

The Rev. Sam Stern (former Rabbi Stern) will speak at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Rev. Stern was in Poland during WWII and saw his
family taken away during i the Holocaust. He came to I the U.S. following the war i and converted to Christianity. Rev. Stern will review the Jewish Holy days of autumn in the light of the Gospels. ■ ■ -
CROP Run Planned
SEAVILLE - The Seaville United Methodist Church has annouced plans for the thirdjurTfor CROP
on Nov. 3. There will be a fun run at 10:15 and a fivemile run commencing at 10:45. Prizes will be given for age categories in the fivemile event and to the winners of the fun run. Again uas w iuc iiui i uu. n^aui
this year, many random prizes will be given to persons who complete the , runs. Prizes will include merchandise and dinner certificates.
