3 City to Celebrate 375th Birthday
i CAPE MAY - The 375th anniversary of the city will be celebrated Saturday, Sept. 29, with a varied prox gram ranging from a run to a cake-cutting ceremony. The observance will open with a 4.4-mile anniversary beach front run at 9 a.m. with start and finishat Convention Hall. The Cape May Kiwanis Pet Parade will begin at noon, starting and finishing at the Madison Avenue ' Water Tower. Following, at 2 p.m., is a concert by the H.B. Smith Cornet Band in the Rotary Bandstand on Lafayette if Street. ALSO SCHEDULED for J the bandstand, at 4 p.m., is .
the ceremonial cutting of a 375-pound birthday cake to make the anniversary. Concluding the birthday festival will be a communi- . ty square dance at 8 p.m. at Convention Hall.
