Mayor Will Head Benefit Bike Ride
COURT HOUSE - Middle Township Mayor Michael Voll has been named chairman of the St. Jude Hospital "Wheels for Life" bike-a-thon, to take place Saturday. Oct. 5, in Rio Grande. The ride will start at 9 a.m. Participants are asked to assemble at 8:45 at the mayor's house. 37 Secluded Lane, to sign up. All money raised goes for research and care of children stricken by. cancer. Last year's event , raised $1,500, and it is t hoped to double that amount. ALL GENERATIONS, young and old. are invited to participate. The mayor
will contact township school students to distribute pledge forms during the next two weeks. The Court Hotise Kiwanis will join the ride, as well as other adults. Anyone interested in riding or helping with the event is asked to call Mayor Voll at 465-5107 days or 886-1804 evenings. St. Jude Hospital, founded in 1962 by entertainer Danny Thomas, is the world's largest center for the study of childhood cancer, and is the only institution dedicated solely to the treatment and study of catastrophic childhood diseases.

1954 Class Reunion Set
Band Adds A Vocalist SOMERS POINTS -The Pete Costellano Big Band, currently being featured at the Boatyard in Somers Point, took two expansion steps recently, hiring a female vocalist, and engaging the East Coast Consulting Co., Ocean City, to market the band throughout the Delaware Valley area. Joining the band will be Judy Cahill, McKee City, who has handled vocals for large and small bands from coast to coast, recently appearing in lounges at the casinos in Atlantic City. She has also spent a number of seasons in the Lake George in upper New York State.

ACC adds Culinary Courses MAYS LANDING - Interested in learning about regional American cookery? Or mastering that new home computer? / Or lifting off in a hot air balloon? These are some of the topics that will be covered in Atlantic Community College's schedule of creditfree courses this fall. Carving, Decoy Show OCEAN CITY — Hie Third Annual Decoy and Wildlife Show will be featured on the Music Pier 10 a.m.-9 p.m. Saturday. A major attraction will be an exhibit of a large group shorebird decoys including both old hunting decoys and modern carvings. More than 50 carvers, artists, and dealers will be on hand displaying a variety of decoys arid wildlife art. Admission is free. The event is sponsored by "The Shorebirds", a group of carvers from Cape May and Atlantic counties.
