Ceremonies Honor Viet POWs, MI As
COURT HOUSE - Tomorrow at 3 p.m., in front of the Old Court House Building on Route 9, there will be a P.O.W.-M.LA. Flag raising ceremony. The public is invited to attend. This ceremony is to make the public aware that there are still Americans being held prisooers from the Vietnam Conflict, and they have not been forgotten. There are 64 New Jersey servicemen still listed as "M.LA?' The board of chosen freeholders, in its resolution authorizing the observance, said: "WHEREAS, 11 years after the termination of the
Vietnam conflict, 2,484 American servicemen are still listed as "Missing In Action", 64 of that brave number residents of New Jersey; and "Whereas, the Board of Chosen Freeholders wish to recognize, in a special way, our countrymen "Missing In Action". "Therefore, be it resolved, that the Prisoners Of War - Missing In Action flag shall be flown outside the historic Court House as a reminder, to all who view it, of the concern with which the Prisooers Of War - Missing In Action servicemen are held. "Be it further resolved,
that the Department of Facilities and Services is hereby directed to maintain and fly the POW-MIA standard in accordance with the regulations con-
cerning display of the American flag and the county flag, and that the POW-MIA flag shall be displayed following the federal and county flag.

County Fire Units Win Nine Awards
WILDWOOD - Cape May County units copped nine awards at the 107th annual New Jersey State Firemen's Convention last weekend. best appearing ladies auxiliary; second place state award for best appearing pumper, 1,000 gallon, 6-10 years; and the Cape May County trophy. This was the second consecutive year the department was picked the county's most outstanding company. Other award winners: Stone Harbor Volunteer Fire Department: special judges' award. Green Creek Volunteer Fire Department: second place state award for beat straight line super tanker. Marmora Volunteer Fire Department: second place state awards for best appearing tractor tanker and best appearing squirt. The Middle Township High School Marching Band won first place as the best appearing band for the fifth year in a row, in competition with more than 30 bands and drum and bugle corps. Two hundred and fortyseven fire companies participated in a five and -onehalf -hour long parade that took portions of 30 blocks to assemble. Participants came from New Jersey, New York, j Pennsylvania and Delaware.
