Programs For Young At Library

COURT HOUSE - The next six weeks at the Cape May County Library will be v devoted to special series of * programs for youngsters. Entitled WE TELL TALES, the series will a

focus on stories that every child should know, and mo6t don't know due to the invasion of television on family life. Pre-school children will be included in the program, by specially designed story hours at the regularly scheduled times: Court House Thursday mornings at 10:30, North Wildwood Recreation Center 10 a.m. Tuesdays and Avalon Public Library Fridays at 10:30 a.m. THOSE WHOSE schedules conflict, first, second and third graders are welcomed to a special session Tuesdays at 7:00 p.m. Different programs are designed for the different age groups. Parents concerned that their children know commercial jingles and not the traditional Mother Goose rhymes or that they are glued to the television and don't know the classics (ac-

tually basics) in children's literature that are referred to throughout one's life are urged to bring your * children' to this special series. The program length is approximately 45 minutes. September 20 will bring Walt Disney's "Darby O'gill and the little People" to the County Library for its first after-school program. The program is free, and recommended for all ages. The film is a liveaction Musical fantasy starring Sean Connery, Janet Munro and Albert Sharpe. All will enjoy this bit o'blarney, sure to delight anyone who's ever dreamt of following rainbows, finding pots of gold or meeting the little people. It's a turn-of-the-century story of a feisty Irishman who meets and outwits the king of the leprechauns.
