Chief of Radiology Addresses Society |

COURT HOUSE - Dr. Daniel Wilner, chief of radiology at Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital, will address the International Skeletal Society at its annual meeting in Philadelphia this month. In connection with the event, Dr. Wilner also gave a lecture course last Wednesday to those physicians (radiologists, ^orthopedic surgeons, pathologists, etc.) who ire attending the 11th Annual Refresher Course on "Musculoskeletal Disorders".

DR. WILNER, who has been an active member of this international group since its beginnings, is a graduate of Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia. He began his training in radiology at the University of Pennsylvania . Graduate School of Medicine. He then served as a resident in radiology in the Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and then served a fellowship at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York. He continued as a

research associate in radiology at that institution for the next twenty years. FORMERLY AN Associate Professor of Radiology at the University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Medicine, Wilner now holds the faculty rank of Clinical Professor of Radiology at Cornell University Medical College, New York. Dr. Wiljter has written' numerous articles and monographs in the leading medical journals and has won many prizes for ex- - 9

hibits shown at medical meetings throughout the country. He is also the author of a 4,50H»ge, four volume textbook entitled Radiology of Bone Tumors and Allied Disorders which has been acclaimed by leading experts. Dr. Wilner has served as bead of the department of Radiology at Burdette Tomlin for the past 23 years. Under his leadership, the hospital has grown from the original two radiographic rooms to its present modern depart-

ment which includes 10 radiographic rooms consisting of special procedures, ultrasound, scan- I ning and computerized ] tomographic (CD units. The School of X-ray Technology which was also established by Dr. Wilner is the first of its kind in South Jersey and is approved by the American Medical Association Successful completion of the two-year program leads to the. degree of R.R.T. (Registered Radiologic Technologist).
