Landfill, Transfer Schedule SWAINTON - The Cape May County Municipal Utilities Authority is considering the following schedule for its winter and holiday operations of the sanitary landfill and -the transfer station: 1. ) Beginning Sept. 21 the sanitary landfill will be open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday. • 2.) The winter hours for the transfer station are as follows: 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday. J.) BOTH facilities will closed on Sunday and the following holidays: New Year's Day, Columbus Day, Veterans' Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas. A limited operating schedule will be in effect on Martin Luther King Day, Washington's Birthday, Good Friday and the day after Thanksgiving. A limited .schedule, at the landfill is from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. At the transfer station, the limited operating schedule for these holidays will be from 8 a.m. to noon. 4.) Both the landfill and transfer station will continue to be fully operational on Memorial Day, Independence Day and Labor Day. This proposed schedule has been heavily distributed within the county with the request that comments be submitted to the MUA prior to its regular meeting, Sept. 19, when this schedule will be on the meeting agenda.
