Ocean City Holding Festival
OCEAN CITY - An art and photography show has been scheduled for this resort's Indian Summer weekend block party, Saturday, Oct. 13. Local artists and photographers are invited to register for the event by contacting the Public Relations office, City Hall, Ocean City, N.J. 08226. Over 15,000 people are expected to attend the event which begins at 10 a.m. and extends from 11th Street to 6th Street on As bury Avenue. IN ADDITION to the art and photo show there will be a crafts festival, sidewalk sale, ethnic foods, auto show, antique auto show, pony rides for I children, Indian dancers,
two bands, face painters, a juggler and many special features. A seafood festival and table sale will be held on the Boardwalk the same day with a trolley connecting the two areas. Also featured will be a threemile masters' rim for men and women over 40 starting 10 a.m. oirthe boardwalk. Runners may register bycontacting the Public Relations Office. FOOD IS always popular at these events and the block party will feature a Greek Festival, Italian foods, tons of hotdogs, funnel cakes, hot pretzels, candy, cakes, ice cream and health foods. Avenue. Special characters who will appear include Resorts International's RICH the Robot and Martin Z. Mollusk, Ocean City's relatively famous Hermit Crab. * Match Set By Dog Club CAPE MAY - The Cape May County Dog Obedience and Training Club will bold a special match, the first annual A. K.C. -sponsored event, 9:30 arm. Sunday, Oct. 28, at Convention Hall here. For further information, call 886-2706, between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.
