Cape Rooters Get Split on the Road i

VILLAS - Wally Porter's Cape Express Rovers (under 14) traveled to Pennsauken Sunday to "challenged the Pyaa Fever and returned Home with their second victory of the season. A Kevin Johnson hat trick, along with single scores by Matt Ferry, Gary Fitx, John Leahy and Ron Gamble led to the 7-1 final. Due to the absence of three team members, Porter's squad was reduced to the minimum of 11 players, who managed to control the play through exceptional offensive and defensive moves. THE OTHER Express Under 14 team, Ed Fretz's Midnight Special, did not fare quite as well. After journeying to West

Deptford, the Special found* it very difficult to {dace the ball in the net. A lone success by Joey Laffey kept the "Special" from rehiring heme shut-out, but the' lack of strong offensive play handed the Home team a 2-1 victory. The only Express Team to ^ remain "home" in Del Haven last weekend was Ken Kirsch's under 12 Silver Streak, who welcomed the Cherry Hill Squad. THE FIRST and only Streak goal was tapped by Chnckie Magille on an by David Nordone. Express fullbacks Mike McNnlty. Robert Qulnn, and Greg Forrest provided the defensive barrier which held the visitors to their solitary score. Ed Murphy's Golden Flyer, under 10, made the

move to Green tree only to face defeat with a 3-1 final, i The single score by Kenny I Kirscb boosted morale but I could not withstand the I Greentree offensive.
