I Fashions ' To Span l Century CAPE MAY — Among I the most popular events of rl Cape May's annual Vic H torian Week are the Vic-'. )l torian Fashion Shows. This j year, they will be held I Saturday, Oct. 6 and Sat., 3 Oct. 13, at 5 p.m. on the out- | door stage of the Emlen a Physick Estate, 1048 - Washington St. For the first show, live models will display choice items — ranging from wedding gowns to bathing suits - from the collection of 19th and early 20th Century costumes belonging to the Mid-Atlantic Center for the Arts, and event's sponsor. • THE SECOND weekend's event will showcase Victorian garments from some of Cape May 's .finest private collections — most never before shown in public. These spectacles are open to the public free of charge. Starting at 4 o'clock each Saturday afternoon, there will be a cocktail party on the grounds of the Physick Estate featuring a full cash bar. For further information on these Victorian Fashion Shows or any other Victorian Week events, call the Mid-Atlantic Center for the Arts (MAC) at 884-5404. Signups On ^ CAPE MAY - The City Coed Youth Swimming Team wiH conduct registration and tryouts 7-9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 12, at the Elementary School. The team needs boys and girls 6 to 17.
