| Lectures On City's History CAPE MM' — Four illustrated lectures will contribute to the festivities during Cape May's annual Victorian Week, Oct. 5-14. Friday at 9 p.m., Sue Learning will present a slide show on "Early Cape May Hotels." A noted local historian, Mrs. Learning has entertained audiences for years with ber accounts of how Cape May has changed over time. Sunday at 4:30 p.m., the curator of the Physick House Museum, Charles t Miller, AS ID, will talk on I "Victorian Decor and Decorum." Well known for his wit. Miller will make sketches in front of the audience to illustrate such themes as: Victorian styles, window treatments, V costumes, and lifestyle \ "from ) the cradle to the jgravey' Miller will repeat /this -lecture Friday, Oct. 12 at 7 p.m. SUNDAY, Oct. 14 at 8 p.m., Tom Carroll will show slides on "Cape May — A Restoration Success." The proprietor of the Mainstay Inn and a leading local preservationist, Carroll will document the many changes (mostly for the better) that have transformed Cape May over the past two decades. All four lectures will be held at the Gape Island Baptist Church Hall, Gurney and Columbia Avenues.
