^ Shore Memorial Workshops Slated

SOMERS POINT - Three special workshops for heart, lung and colostomy are offered by the Shore Memorial Hospital Wellness Program here J and scheduled for October. S " You are Your Heart", a

one-day workshop conducted by Fran Jerome R.N.B.A. and Connie Tierno. R.N. B.S.N#, will be held Oct. 1 from 1:30 to 3 p.p in the hospital's 4th west classroom. There is a small fee and the program will include " information on risk factors for heart attacks and disease and tips for prudent heart living. The signs and symptoms of heart attack and exposure to CPR techniques will also be given. - A LUNG workshop Teaturing a discussion on asthma, chronic bronchitis and emphysema medication and breathing exercises as well as a pulomonary fuctiofr" test will be held Oct. 1. 8, 15. and 22 also in the 4th west classroom . The classes will be held 10 a.m. to noon and there is a fee per family. Samuel Re of the Chest and Health Association of South Jersey, will conduct the workshop. A discussion of cok. ostomies, including different types, reasons $nd care as well as a question and answer period will be held on Oct. 11. 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the SMH private dining room. The session will be cdnducted by Leonard Caller. M.D., and Nancy Skalamera R.N E.T. of the SMH staff. For further information or the register call the Wellness office at 6454500. Authentic Touches To Indian Summer

OCEAN CITY - This resort has pulled out all the stops to make its Indian Summer celebration authentic. "Voices of the Earth." a troupe of Indian dancers from the party Oct. 13 in the Asbury Avenue shopp-' ing district. The group will perform ' in front of City Hall. 9th and Asbury Avenue and display Indian crafts 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.. the duration of the event. Also in keeping with the theme, free pony rides and Indian headbands will be provided youngsters l p.m. to 4 p.m. at 6th and Asbury Avenue. EVERYONE will have the opportunity to ride on an old-fashioned stagecoach (the kind Indians used to ambush) from Sunnvbrook Farms in Pottstown. Pa. The coach will carry Ocean 1 City visitors the six-block length of the celebration. Face painters wjjl roam the area in case visitors would like to be decorated like Indians on the warpath or even "Boy George"..
