Security Saving Names Executives

VINELAND - Security Savings and Loan Association here has moved to strengthen its real estate Liaortgage business by nam^ing two executives for its Select Mortgage Corporation subsidiary. Robert J. Conover of Cherry Hill has been named president and chief operating officer of Select Mortgage, and Edward L. Hess, of "Richmond, Va., has been named vice president of secondary marketing for Select. formed earlier this year to originate mortgages for Security Savings, will expand its role to become a full-service mortgage banking firm, said Ronald A. Seagraves, president of Security Savings. Select now services some 18,000 loans totalling more than (638 million and is producing new loans at the rate of $100 million per year. Conover was senior vice president and chief financial officer of U.S. Mortgage Corp., Westmont, since 1980. Hess is past president of the Louisville Mortgage Bankers Association, member of the legislative committee of the National Mortgage Bankers Association, and is a member of other profes-siona-1 and civic organizations.

Horizon Dividend Up Again MORRISTOWN - The board or directors of Horizon Bancorp has increased the dividend on its common stock to $0.28 per quarter (an indicated annual rate of $1.12). This 7.7 percent increase marks the eight consecutive year that Horizon has increased the cash dividend on its common stock. The board also declared the new quarterly dividend of $0.28 per common share and a quarterly preferred dividend of $0 7950 per share (12.70 percent annualized yield calculated on the preferred stock's liquidation value of $25 per share). The record date for both dividends in Oct. 12 and the payment date is Nov. 1, 1984. Horizon Bancorp, with 110 bank branches and six trust offices, is the fourth largest New Jersey bank holding company with $2.6 billion in total assets. Its member subsidiaries are Horizon Bank, Horizon Trust Company, Marine National Bank. Princeton Bank and The Bank of New Jersey.
