COURT HOUSE - Dr. Donovan Vezin of the Cape Veterinary Hospital here is one of the veterinarians taking part in a program to provide low cost spaying and neutering to the pets of low income families. plemer.tal security income, aid to families with -dependent children, general public assistance, pharmaceutical assistance for the aged and disabled, rental assistance under the Housing and Community Development Act. the Lifeline credit program and the tenants' Lifeline assistance program The services will be pro-
vided on a first come basis to area residents' pets The cost to the pet owner for the surgery is $10, which will be sent to the state's population control fund.
The funding for the pro gram comes from owners of unspayed and unneutered dogs, who must pay additional $3 when they buy dog licenses.
House OKs Closing of Dumpsite WASHINGTON, D C. - The House of Representatives has approved legislation authored by CongressmanMiill Hughes (D-NJ) which would permanately close the sewhge sludge dumpsite located just 12 miles off the New Jerfty coast. In addition, the legislation would require the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to develop a comprehensive plan for restoring the water qualilyjn this severely degraded coastal area. y.
