Horrible news! Councilman R. Jack Fitzpatrick will be resigning his seat on Borough Council on Dec. 7, '84. On Dec. 31 he would have served his 11th year on council. He said today that much as he hates to do it, business pressures as ' part owner of Diller and 5. He was employed by Mr. Springer (as in ice cream) to make , their famous product. He worked there four years, then he and Pat bought the business and ran it until they sold it 20 years later. THEY JOINED the Chamber of Commerce as soon as they moved here. Jack has served two terms as its president — once for five years and again for i •four years. He has emceed the Little Miss Stone 1 Harbor Contest sponsored by the Women's Civic Club I and almost every other < good cause you can name. I To list his ( accomplishments would i take a full page. Among i them he has organized the \ July 4th celebration for as i long as we can remember i but most of his civic contributions you already know. Borough Council will [ now appoint a successor to J F
