Census Survey Going On

PHILADELPHIA - The U.S. Bureau of the Census is conducting its regular survey on employment and unemployment in this area this week, according to James F. Holmes, director of the Bureau's Regional Office in Philadelphia. Additional survey < questions will provide information on school enrollment and computerusage for both children and [ adults. I THE SURVEY is conducted for the U.S. Department of Labor in a scientifically designed sample of approximately 71,000 households throughout the United. States. Employment and ~ unemployment statistics based on results of this survey are used to provide a continuing measure of the economic health of the nation. For example, in August.

the survey indicated that of the 113.5 million men and women and in the civilian labor force, 105 million were employed. The nation's unemployment rate remained the same at 7.5 percent Information supplied by individuals participating in the survey is kept strictly confidential by law and the results are used only to compile statistical totals.

Fall Dance NORTH CAPE MAY - j The St. John of God Parish j Council is sponsoring a J gala fall dance 9 p.m. — 1 a.m. Saturday. Nov. 10. There will be free beer and set-ups and a hot and cold i buffet prepared by the women of the parish.
