Needed: Coaches; CAPE MAY — Adults interested in coaching youngsters from 8 to 14 years of age in basketball or indoor street hockey are asked to contact the Department of Civic Affairs at 884-8411, ext. 20 or 27. The participating teams of both the basketball and hockey leagues are sponsored by local businesses and league play will begin by January. Registrations and try outs are scheduled for Nov. 24 and Dec. 1, noon-2 p.m. at the City Elementary School.

Chamber Tourney Winners Some. 120 golfers turned out under warm but foggy and cloudy skies for the Annual Fall Open Golf Tournament of the county Chamber of Commerce, held at the Stone Harbor Golf Club. Top honors for the tournament winner under the Calloway System went to Jack Vance of North Wildwood with a "low net" of 72. Second place low net went to Tom O'Rourke after a sudden death match of cards with Larry Trulli, who was awarded third place low net. JIM JOHN of North Cape May took first place lowgross with a 75. John had been a low net winner in the Spring 1983 Tournament. Second place low gross with a 78 went to Marty Aggers, who tied with Ralph Schoonejongen. A match of cards was used to break the tie and award. Schoonejongen took place low gross. Trophies were awarded to all low net and low gross winners. Others capturing tropies for "longest drive" w;ere Bill Clark on hole 3, Curtis Davidson, hole 6. and Bill Cabinese on hole 10. Winners of the "Closest to Pin" tropies were: J. Rodan on the 18th; Don Grosse on the 15th, and Curtis Davidson, hole 9. TROPHIES WERE presented at the awards luncheon following the round of golf by Robert Smith, treasurer of the chamber, assisted by Shirley Storms, tournament secretary, and Bob Patterson, executive director. A spring tournament for late April or early May 1985 is being planned. Door prizes donated by chamber members were awarded to some 50 participants.

Surf Anglers Plan Sea Isle Tourney

SEA ISLE CITY - The Delaware Valley Surf Anglers Association will bold its second annual surf fishing tournament here Saturday, Nov. 3, with registration beginning at 6:30a.m. The tournament will include six-member teams and individuals. Beach buggy permits have been waived for the day, but teams are asked to limit their vehicles to two buggies. THE TOURNAMENT schedule is: registration 6:30-7:30 a.m.; first fishing position, 8-11 a.m.; lunch break, 11 a.m.-noon; second fishing position, noon-3 p.m.; awards presentation, door prizes and celebration, 3:30 p.m. Headquarters for the tournament will be the Townsends Inlet Civic Center. 85th Street and Landis avenue. Checks ($25 per team and $5 for individuals) for registration should be made payable to:

Delaware Valley Surf Anglers Association, c/o Karl Boehret, treasurer, 149 Earl Lane, Hatboro. Pa. 19040. Transportation will be provided for participating teams which do not have access to four-wheel drive vehicles. Free coffee and doughnuts will be available at registration time. LCMR Fans' Bus Slated ERMA — A fan bus for -adult backers of the Caper Tigers will leave Lower Cape May Regional High School 9:15 a.m. Saturday to attend the LCM game with Hammonton at the latter's field at II .a.m. Tickets will be available at the bus or can be reserved by calling 884-7500 or 884-0857 after 6 p.m.
