_ Slews Notes from r The Cape Mays Dolly Stango
% ■ They're the winners ! Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Hoisey trf Belts ville, Md., are the owners of the 1884 Buick Skylark on which raffle tickets were sold all summer long as it was displayed on the lawn of Our Lady Star of the Sea Church in Cape May. The Holsey family was shocked when they received a call Saturday night from ' Father Robert Palsey. Star of the Sea's associate pastor, telling them of their good fortune. They didn't even ] remember buying the raf- < r / v
He ticket! They were so taken by surprise that they couldn't say right there and then when they would be able to pick the car up. They would have to call back after the initial shock had worn off, they said. What a lovely Christmas present, and what a beautiful car. IT WAS called "Car Raffle Gala", and that's just what it was. The evening started with the Hoffnagle Band playing all favorites and the dance floor being enough, provided lots of space for all types of
dancing. The ever popular "line dancing" was repeated over and over. So many are to be thanked for making the evening such a success, included are Mary Momat, Teresa Baacber, Nancy Tronco, Bertha Dickinson, Anne Marie Corrigan. Julie O'Neill, Allen Major, Charles Corrigan, Nancy Johnston. Nettie Mescolotto, Jeaaette Collins and Sally McAneny. Rosemary Stump, as
usual, made Jure she did her part in making everything come out right. Also contributing were the Marin* Bakery of Wikhvood, Wawa of Cape May and last, but not least, Lee Ryan of the^Anchorage Restaurant. Axellson and Johnson as always were ever present to help out. The Winchester Restaurant in Cape May was the main support. • • • - CONGRATULATIONS to
