Waste Conversion Financing Gets OK V

SWAINTON - Resource recovery, the conversion of waste to energy, will receive accelerated attention under a new solid waste financing plan recently approved by the Cape May County Municipal Utilities Authority. Ted O'Neill, solid waste

manager, said the authority will spend an estimated $2 million of a $7.8 million borrowing to design and prepared - the necessary plans required to reach the construction phase for resource recovery facilities for Cape Mav County. The remainder of the funds will be used to complete the initial construction and to pay for equipment at both the landfill and the transfer station.
