•ABOUT 20 TRUCK loads" of bulk trash have been dumped in or around the Cape May Canal near the abandoned railroad bridge off Seashore Road, Cold Spring, Deputy Mayor Joseph Davis reports. He contacted the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, which controls the canal and both banks, about the debris last week. A Corps spokesman told Davis, "We'll'* get somebody to look at it right away." Township Manager James R. Stump is trying to set up a meeting with the Corps about that problem and erosion along the Villas bayfront (see front page story), the deputy mayor explained.
