-It's Hallowe'enTbe goblins and the witches are In league to stir things up, They're brewing deadly mischief In a magic sort of cup. Now if your doorbell should ring out Perhaps you'll get a fright 'Cause more than likely you would see A most un -Christian -sight ; A pirate might be standing there, Or stranger still a bat, Or even satan with two horns Protruding through his hat! So when you hop in bed, lock tight The windows, doors arid such, v Pile ail the blankets on your head And you won't hear too much. The wind is high, it's voice is shrill, There's myst'ry in the air, There's ghosts in every cornfield and You surely must beware! By Viney Endicott MB* vm v , - IML Y Not All Are Saints I finished my bowl of dinner i And was washing to go to bed. The door bell rang and I could see Something without a head. All in white, black holes for eyes, No hair, no teeth, or hands. I watched in horror at this strange thing, and shook to beat the band. Another came, all in black \ ' » with a nose a full foot long. A stove pipe hat and a broom that swat, in a second they ail were gone. They must be from another world, I told myself to be brave. My ears laid flat, my tail puffec up my fur began to wave. They roamed the streets v for tricks and treats, What ever that could mean T'was the night of Goblins, Witches and Ghosts. And they called it Hoilow'een. By Miriam A.
