Walk Has Double Turnout

CAPE MAY - Eighty persons from the Cape May area churches walked Saturday, Oct. 20 to raise money for world hunger. This year's 'walk saw the number of walkers double that of last year. Monies raised this year are expected to exceed $1,700. The walk was coordinated by the Greater Cape May Minister's Association in cooperation with Church World Service /CROP. This year's event as a 10-kilometer

walk beginning at the Rotary Bandstand and ending at the First United Methodist Church on Washington Street. CROP is the name given to local community efforts at hunger education and fund raising for Church World Service, the relief development agency of 30 Protestant and Orthodox

denominations in the U.S. The goal of Church World Service development projects through colleague agencies around the world is to help people create for themselves a better quality of life marked by sustainability and balanced sharing in benefits and burdens.

St. Raymond's Sets Bazaar VILLAS - St. Ray. mond's Church will hold its annual Christmas bazaar in the church auditorium at 27 E. Ocean Ave. 4-9 p.m. Friday, Nov. 9; 10 a.m.-9 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, and 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 11. The bazaar will include crafts, games of chance, decorations, and gift ideas, including Cabbage Patch otems. A bakery and country kitchen will be open for lunch ^ and dinner. 1st Baptist, Ct. House COURT HOUSE - Rev. Jerry Heslinga will lead in worship at 9:30 a.m. Sunday at the First Baptist Church. 101 So. Main Street. His message will be from the series, Christian Maturity 'Taming the Tongue", taken from James 3:1-12. A nursery is provided for the worship service and Sunday School. Children 4-10 are invited to participate in Junior Church. Sunday School Classes for all ages including five for. adults begin at 10:45 am. The evening "The Hard Sayings of Jesus" . 'Gift, Prize ' Shaw Topic

CAPE MAY - "The Gift and the Prize" will be the serinon topic of the Rev. Cass Shaw at the 10:30 a.m. service of the First Presbyterian Church, Decatur and Hughes Streets, Sunday. Following the service there will be a talkback session at 11:40

COLD SPRING - "Joy in the Morning", based on Psalm 30, will be the sermon preached by the pastor, the Rev. Fred C. Bischoff, at the Cold Spring Presbyterian Church (Old Brick,) 780 Seashore Rd, at the 11 a.m. Sunday worrhip service. Supervised nursery is available for pre-schoolers. The Men's 25 Club will hold its monthly dinner meeting in Price Hall at 6:30 p.m. Thursday and guest speaker will be a representative of the New Jersey State Police Educational Unit. A Church Family Night covered dish supper, sponsored by the Deacons will be held 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dennisv^le will give a slide presentation on Guatemala, where they served several months as Volunteers in Mission.

WILDWOOD CREST - The coming Sunday is Communion Sunday at the Crest Community Church. Services begin at 9:45 a.m. with Sunday School. Devotions for the Primary Department, nursery through second, grade are in the basement Social Hall. i

Wesley UMC baxaar Sat. PETERSBURG - The Wesley United Methodist Church here will hold a Christmas bazaar 10a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday. Handmade articles will be on sale, and Santa Claus will be present.
