COURT HOUSE - Grants totaling nearly $4,000 were divided by i eight teachers yesterday in a special awards reception at the county Career Center. Hie money, raised by the non-profit Cape Educational Fundi now in its third year, distributed amounts ( from $269 to $500. The grants help finance unusual class projects and special instruction for [ children. Awards were received { by: Sister Donna Jean Bodnar, St. Anne's Regional School, Wildwood, for instruction in nutrition and exercise, $500, grade l. Kathleen Fiiippo, Special Seta-ices School District. $500, primary/elementary levels, for cultural instruction. Gary Hoxworth. Upper Township School District, $377 to study acid rain for grades 7 and 8. Margo Hunter, Special Sen-ices School District, $500 for grades 4 to 6 to instruct children in how to I deal with emotional problems. Grace Learning and Renate Wilson, Wildwood School District, $441 to help
students become aware of various kinds of birds in the area. Anne-Marie McVey, Wildwood School District, $269 for grade 1 remedial reading. Man Purcell and Mary Stillman, Ocean City School District, $500 for grades 4 to 8, ceramic art classes.
Karen Seddon, Woodbine School District, $456 to purchase a video cassette recorder for students in grades 7 and 8 for movies that correspond to books they have read. Hie Cape Educational Fund is directed by 16 educational, business and civic leaders beaded by Joyce Gould, president.
