Church Members Will 'Ride Circuit '
COURT HOUSE - Members of the First United Methodist Church here will re-enact a part of their history in coming days as they become "circuit riders" in their own neighborhoods. ' The Rev. WUbert Hoffman, pastor, explained that the church is using the Circuit Ride Stewardship
Plan to learn members planned support of the proposed program and budget for the coming year. -This will be a genuinely exciting event," Hoffman said. "It ties in nicely with our denomination's celebration this year of the Bicentennial of Methodism in America. Two-hundred years ago, at the so-called Christmas Conference in . Baltimore, M.D., 60 Methodist preachers came together to decide a form of church government, choose general superintendents and recommit themselves to 'reform the continent and spread scriptural holiness over these lands."
1st Baptist, Wildwood WILDWOOD - Rev. Dawn N. Mays will preach at the 11 a.m. Sunday service at the First Baptist Church.
