Zimmerman, son of William E. and Mary M. Zimmerman of 725 AUantic Ave., has been promoted in the U.S. Air Force to the rank of senior master sergeant. Zimmerman is a traffic control center watch supervisor at Tempelhof Central Airport, West Berlin, with the 1946th Information Systems Squadron. He received a master's degree in 1976 from Northern Michigan University, Marquette. N.C. University Accepts Jones AVALON - Local resident J. Wesley Jones has been accepted to Campbell University in North Carolina. The son of Mr. and Mrs. Jack W. Jones, he attended Wildwood Catholic High School. Campbell University is located south of Raleigh, N.C., in Buies Creek. It has a full liberal arts program and a school of law, and offers graduate degrees in business, education, and government.

FLYING HISTORY — Crew of Coast Guard Air Station in Cape May indicate 10,000th hour in air recently logged by station's helicopter 1389. Making historic flight were, left to right AD3 S. Dutton, Lt. R. Meade and Cmdr. P.A. Wendt. Chopper, 20 years old, has been attached to Air Station Cape May since January, 1982.
