Holiday Weekend , Tours Scheduled

CAPE MAY - Over - Thanksgiving Weekend, the Mid-Atlantic Center for the Arts (MAC) is sponsoring a special program of Combination Trolley/Physick Estate Tours and Walking Tours of the city. Offering visitors an over- - view of Cape May's •gingerbread" architecture, Combination - Trolley/Physick Estate Tours are scheduled Fri- ! day. Nov. 23, at 11 a.m. and _ 12 noon; Saturday, Nov. 24, at 10:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 1 p.m., 2 p.m., and 3 p.m.; - and Sunday, Nov. 25, at 11 a.m. and noon. THEY BEGIN at the Emlen Physick Estate, 1048 Washington St., with an hour-long guided trolley tour that covers both the „ East End and West End Historic Districts. In MAC's h&ated, enclosed trolley-bus, trained guides point out landmark buildings and regale

visitors with accounts of Cape May's heyday as a Victorian seashore resort. Upon returning to the estate, visitors are guided through the interior of the Physick House. The 16-room mansion was designed by renowned architect Frank Furness. Built in 1881 in the Stick Style, it has been painstakingly restored as a highquality Victorian House Museum. Its interior contains outstanding examples of Eastlake-style furnishings and fixtures collections of costumes, toys and artifacts. ENDING THE combination tour on a festive note, visitors are served hot cider and goodies in the Physick House Kitchen. Tickets are on sale at the entrance to the Physick House. Historic District are offered Saturday, Nov. 24, at 3 p.m., and Sunday, Nov. 25, at 10 a.m. These tours are especially designed for those who like history close-up and in detail. Enthusiastic, knowledgeable guides provides insights into the customs and traditions of the Victorians and their ornate architecture. Each Walking Tour takes about 1 >-2 hours and begins / at the Information Booth at If the head of the Washington \ Street Mall (at Ocean I Street).
