Cape Surfers Win Rating Advances
Five South Jersey surfers, including North Cape May's Will Tirri and Ocean City's John Fan-en and Todd Adams, advanced from a 2A to a 3A rating at an Eastern Surfing Association contest in Brigantine Oct. 27. TIRRI, WHO took second place in the 2A Boys Division, will now move up to the tougher, more competitive 3A division. Other county surfers making the finals included Pete Franchville of Wildwood Crest, Ross Dickinson of North 1 Cape May, and Harry Back of Cape May, who finished , third, fourth, and fifth in i the 2A Boys Division. 4-H Club Has Horses Clinic
COLD SPRING - A showmanship clinic was held recently by the newly formed Cape Equestrian '4-H Horse Club. The clinic was held at the home of Jill Clydesdale, club leader, here. It was given by teen leader Michael Anholt and Mrs. Rosemary Jones, project counselor. Anholt recently participated as a member of the New Jersey State Congress Youth Team at the National Quarter horse #
Congress in Columbus, O. Those attending learned about showing their horses at halter and self presentation in the show ring. Attending members were Bonnie Clydesdale, Deana Cluff, Kathy Lazaro. Travelogue at College
VINELAND - "Atlantic Coast Adventure a free travelogue presented by Howard and Barbara Pollard, will be shown in Cumberland County College's Student Center 7:30 this evening. The travelogue, a 90-minute color motion picture narrated by the Pollards, will take viewers from the rugged coast of Maine to the winter warmth of semi-tropical Florida. Every state between Bangor and Key West will be visited, and changes in climate, culture, attitudes and terrain will be observed. "This is truly a coastal journey, since . we never filmed more than 10 miles from the sea," Pollard said. "Everyone in our travelogue is affected by the closeness to the ocean."
