NEW MALL UNDERWAY — Former site of Mariyn Manor shopping center, buiit 30 years ago, is now the location of a new mall rising on Route 47, Rio Grande. It w ill be called "The Village Shoppes of Rio Grande," costing $3.5 million, and providing space for 40 offices and stores. The developer is dentist Robert J. Benzell of Wildwood Crest.

Officers Elected At ACC

MAYS LANDING - Robert L. Linzner was elected chairman of Atlantic Community College's (ACC) Board of Trustees when the group held its annual reorganizational meeting Nov. 5. He succeeds Frank Siracusa, who

had held the post for four years. Linzner, a certified

public accountant who owns an accounting firm in Atlantic City, joined the board in March, 1983. His term runs until Nov. 1, 1986. Last year he was named one of Atlantic City Magazine's "People To Watch" in*l984. He lives in Lin wood.

JOHN FEEHAN, chairman and chief executive officer of Atlantic Electric Co., and Dr. David Blumenthal, a chiropractor and graduate of ACC, were elected vice chairman and treasurer, respectively. Feehan succeeds Lynn Kupperman and Blumenthal, Robert Linzner. Robert L. Goudie, vice president for administration and business affairs, was re-appointed secretary. The board welcomed a new member, Jacqueline F. Dietrich, of Northfield, a 1984 graduate of ACC, who will serve as student representative on the board until next October. She was elected to the post

by ACC's student body. The next meeting of the board will be held at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27, in the board room, second room, J -building.

Re-enlists Sgt. Elmer A. Vargas, son of Manuel A. and Erundina Alicea of Lares, Puerto Rico, has re-enlisted in the U.S. Army at Fort George G. Meade, Md., for six years. His wife, Debra, is the daughter of Harold Jones •of 1414 Central Ave., Ocean City, and Judith Jones of Somers Point. Vargas is a medical specialist with the 702nd Medical Company. Airman Ends Basic Course COURT HOUSE - Airman Jamie T. Bitting, son of Catherine H. Bitting of 66D Dennisville Rd., has completed Air Force basic training at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas. The airman will now begin on-the-job training in the supply field at Wurtsmith Air Force Base, Mich.
