Child Care Center Has A Birthday MAYS LANDING - "Child Care Goes To College" will be the theme when Atlantic Community College's Child Care Center holds an open house to mark its 10th anniversary. The event will run 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 29, and is open to the public and "alumni" of the center. Throughout the day, ACC faculty members and students will present a variety of entertaining and educational events— all on a child's level. Children will learn about South Jersey folklore and archaeology, see a chemistry experiment and discover "mystery math". THEY'LL BE entertained by puppets from the Spanish Club and clowns and mimes from the theatre department. Hie electronics department's robot will be a daylong guest at the celebration. Refreshments will be served. ACC's Child Care Center was founded in November, 1974, and has served hundreds of children in Atlantic, Cape May and Cumberland Counties. The facility, which operates , * 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, is open to members of the community as well as ACC students and staff. It accepts children between the ages of 24 months and five-and-a-half years and offers full-and parttime enrollments. Children up to 12 years of age can attend the center during school holidays. students with many signs of originality displayed and loads of enthusiasm on the part of all. • • • DON'T FORGET that the Cape County Historical and * Genealogical Society will be holding a Christmas Open House Saturday, Dec. 8, from 10 a.m. 'til 4 p.m. Decoration of the museum will be done by members Dec. 5 with a plethora of holly and greens donated by members. The trimming party is set for 7 p.m. and refreshments will be served by the volunteers. The costume committee will be wearing garments dating from the 1890s on — do stop and see how our ancestors entertained at the Open House Party on the 8th. Starting now, do lots of your Christmas shopping at a place which will be open this year for possibly the last time.
