COURT HOUSE - Competition in the Town Team Tennis League at Jersey Cape Racquet Club continues to be tough. On Nov. 13, the first match of the evening between Avalon Real Estate and Cape Insurance opened with Cape's ladies doubles team of Carol Yar borough and Sallie Williams topping their opponents by a score of 84. The men's doubles team or Jake Williams and Dan Hughes also gave Cape Insurance a solid win, scoring 8-2. Cape continued its winning ways . in mixed doubles as Ernie Yar-

borough and Missy Whittington scored 8-6, winning a close match over Avalon's team of Rick Ogen and Martha Turkington. AVALON WAS ready for revenge, however, as both the men's and ladies Singles players entered the courts. Barbara Kerr of Avalon Real Estate swept over opponent 8-1. Not to be outdone, Lionel Desrosier of Avalon Real Estate also scored 8-1 in men's singles, giving a match victory of 26-28 over Cape Insurance. after the excitement of the earlier match, Cape Shore Realty and Keen's Pharmacy were ready to play. Keen Pharmacy's ladies doubles team of Diane Shatfc and Eileen Millar played well, winning their event 8-4. Since it was Cape Shore's first match of the season, its team quickly fought back to victory in men's

doubles with Rob Thorne and Zack Chavez finishing 8-3 ahead of their competitors. The mixed doubles event also ended in victory for Cape Shore as Mary Fittipaldi and Tony Ferrante scored an 8-3 win in that event. KEEN'S PHARMACY responded with a win in the ladies singles event as Cathie Smith breezed past her opponent to an 8-1 victory. Cape Shore finished the evening with victory as its men's singles player, Thad Gurdin, steamrolled over his opponent to an 8-0 win. When all the scores were tallied, Cape Shore . Realty finished the victor in its first night erf league action with a score of 29-22 over Keen's Pharmacy.
