Board of Agriculture at its annual dinner meeting at Mulford's Corbin House here recently. Elected with Rea were:
David L. Bohm of Eldora, vice president; Elizabeth E. Corson of Seaville, recording secretary; Ronald Phillips of Cold Spr-
ing, corresponding secretary, and Sol Mankin of Court House, treasurer. ELECTED TO the board of directors were: Corson, Mankin, Vincent DeLuzio of Tuckahoe, Frank L. Ger-
manio of Woodbine, Marshall Howey of Villas, and John Wheeler Jr. of Goshen. { In addition to annual business reports, the board received the annual report from the President Rea. He indicated that the origination had been very active during-the-pa§t year and was( weU^reprfepented at stateagpebltoral functions such asvthe vNewxJ ersey Farm Bureau Convention) and the State Agricidttq^/ Convention. He noted that Walter H. Betts of Tuckahoe had received the citation for Distinguished Service to New Jersey Agriculture, the highest honor that a New Jersey farmer can receive. REA ALSO indicated that the board was active in a number of pieces of legislation of interest to farmers and was instrumental in gaining state support against a change in the requirements for farmland assessment. He also reported that the organization had taken a strong opposition to the Lesniak Pesticide Bill, which farm organizations feel would be unfair and unworkable for commercial farmers in the state. Corson reported that the county had 89 New Jersey Farm Bureau members plus additional County Board of Agriculture members. She reported that the board had 10 meetings during the year. She also said that during the past year the Board had supported such groups as the County Future Farmers of American Chapter at the County VoTech Center, the County I
4-H Program, the New Jersey Agricultural Museum, and the Vegetable Growers' Association of New Jersey Scholarship Fund. Treasurer Mankin i i casui ci mau&m

' Reports are also received from Robert Maxwell, County Farmers Home AdI ministration Supervisor, and from George Pizzo of > the Bridgeton Farm Credit Service, and from Richard Ewen of the N.J. Departi ment of Agriculture.
