' Puss in Boots' By Puppetworks
COURT HOUSE - "The Remarkable Mr. Puss In Boots," a whimsical story of adventure based on the classic tale by Charles Perrault, will be performed Saturday. The production sponsored by the Middle Township Recreation Department and perform-
ed by the Puppetworks of New York, will be presented in the auditorium of Elementary School 3, 117 S. Main St. Curtain time is scheduled for 1 p.m. with tickets available at the door.
The performance will present children of all ages with a whimsical and captivating fantasy combined with an entertaining musical score. The handmade marionettes sing and dance their way through the 18th Century settings, providing an afternoon of fun for the entire family. A Display
On Indians COURT HOUSE - Margo Hunter's Ocean. Academy class traveled to the South Jersey Christian Academy to present an Indian display and a talk to Norma Harrison and Pastor Ron Varner's classes Nov. 16. Hunter guided a question and answer period between classes on Indian clothing, farming, weapons and homes. Ocean Academy students passed their homemade Leni-Lenape models of hatchets, arrows, bows and quivers, canoes and homes for the Christian Academy students. ACC Chorus To Perform MAYS LANDING - Atlantic Community College's (ACC) chorus-in-residence, the Festival Chorus, will present its Winter Choral Concert at 3 p.m. Sunday, in the Walter Edge Hall theater on ACC's campus here. The concert is free and open to the public. The program will feature the "Christmas Oratorio" by Saint-Saens and a host of traditional carols and seasonal music. The 50-voice chorus will be directed by Paul McKay, director of music at Margate Community Church and a popular soloist at area concerts. McKay and the chorus will be accompanied by Anita Stagliano on piano and Victoria Yob on the organ. The concert is part of ACC's Cultural Series. Dance Set For Students OCEANVIEW - A dance sponsored by the Dennis Township Recreation Commission for Grades 6,7 and 8 will be held 7-11 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7, at the Ocean View Fire Hall. There will be refreshments and a live DJ. Tickets may be purchased at the door. Yule Party Is Dec. 23 WOODBINE - A Christmas party for . children of needy families here will be held 2-5 p.m. .Sunday, Dec. 23, at the Whitebrier Inn, Avalon. Buses will pick up the children at the local Borough Hall and return them. Family income must be under $12,000 a year, and children must be registered in advance. s
Yule Party Set Dec. 2 WOODBINE - The Widows or Widowers Club, Woodbine Chapter, is hosting a Christmas Party 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 2, s. followed by a dance with / live music at 7 p.m. The party will be held at St. Casimir's Parish Hall, Clay and Lincoln Avenue, Woodbine.
