Victorian Zest Fires Celebration
CAPE MAY - The Victorians celebrated Christmas with unsurpassed enthusiasm, so it is appropriate that this National Landmark Victorian Village, celebrate the joyous holiday season in special Style. The entire village will be decorated for the season,
from the Victorian porches f of the historic district to the J gaslights of the Washington a Street Shopping Mall. v Strolling carollers will f add to the festivities, and 5 many Victorian guest 1 houses and country inns, as well as modern motels, will be open to welcome guests J at the special season. STROLL THE tree-lined ( streets of the Historic j District of Cape May with a ' special guide on the MidAtlantic Center for the Arts Walking Tours and learn J about "the nation's oldest ' seaside resort" and its distinctive Victorian architecture and history. The walking tours will be offered every Sunday during December at 10 a.m. with an additional tour scheduled for 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 29. , THE TRADITIONAL | Community Christmas Parade of neighboring West Cape May will inaugurate the holidayseason at 7 p.m. Saturday. Dec. 1. Floats, bands, fire trucks, clowns, and oldfashioned festivities will begin the Christmas season for the Cape May area. The Washington Street Shopping Mall will be decorated in its festive finery with evergreen swags and garlanded gaslights. OPEN HOUSE will feature Christmas decorations for all ages and interests on the "Cottages at Christmas time" tours.

Strolling bands and carollers will add to the festive nature of the shopping district.

CAPE MAY - The high point of the holiday season in Cape May is the annual Christmas Candlelight Tour, held this year Saturday, Dec. 29, from 6 to 10 p.m. This gala event, sponsored by the Mid-Atlantic Center for the Arts, is a self-guided tour of more than a dozen 19th and 20th Century homes and churches specially decorated for this most festive time of year.
