Red Cross Benefit Art Sale Set

COURT HOUSE - "Following Their Star," a benefit art show and sale sponsored by The Cape May County Chapter of the American Red Cross, will exhibit for sale the works of a dozen leading area artists at the Old Court House Building 11 a.m. - 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 15, as part

of the annual "Christmas » in Court House*' i celebration. ■ The artists selected for - this invitational show have 1 a diversity of styles and f each unique vision is evi- > dent by contrast. The s wealth of images in this show demonstrates the not tion that the local area is 4 rich with talent. ONE OF the area's most I beautiful old buildings, the | architecturally significant I Court House on North Main I Street, will house the show.

Twenty per cent of the proceeds erf the sale will go to benefit the county chapter of the Red Cross. Some of the local artists who will participate are: Gerald Lynch, CherylCrews Lynch, Marie Metz, Frank Gollatz, W. Wallace Smith, Carter Scattergood, Gracine McMenamy, Jim Stag, Ray Dougherty, Barbara Knipple, Helen Diiday, Mary Federici, Steven LaManna. Chairing the show are Chery CrewsLynch and Marie Metz.

I Bazaar Set At School

COURT HOUSE - The students in the Builders Club and Student Council of the Middle Township Middle School will sponsor a Christmas bazaar to benefit the CARE organization Saturday. Included in the event at the school, East Pacific Decoration Contest AVALON — The borough's decorated house contest will be judged Thursday, Dec. 20th star- j ting at 6:30 p.m. To enter homeowners you must call in and register their addresses. Only registered homes or businesses will be review- • ed. Categories are: Most , Christmas Spirit, Most lights. Children's choice, Blinkiest and Most ] Original. A SPECIAL feature will be a Santa's Workshop "for kids only " where children can do their Christmas shopping supervised bv^ficers and members of^e sponsoring groups. Anyone wishing to rent table space for crafts or gifts can call the Middle School at 465-9411 and ask for Ellen Lomax. Holly Ball AVALON - The Russ Patrick Orchestra will be in town for the Holy Ball Dec. 15 at the Community Hall. The doors open at 8:30 and music starts at 9 p.m. Reservations will be accepted in advance from Avalon residents only. Remaining seats will be open the public. For reservations, call 967-3066.
