' Miracle Worker' On Stage #

ERMA - William Gibson's play The Miracle Worker opens the 1984-85 theatre season at Lower Cape May Regional High School 8 p.m. at the school's Schmidtchen Auditorium, Route 9. Senior Sheila McGoy will play the role of the dutybound instructor Annie Sullivan with freshman Joyce Bright as the young and handicapped Helen Keller. Thirty students have involved themselves in this, the largest of Lower

Regional's fall productions. Tech crews have designed, lit, and executed an impressionistic set emphasizing the atmosphere of tension and fear which Gibson's work suggests. Senior Craig Pilczuk heads up the tech crews and is the production manager. Sign interpreters have been added to the company for the benefit of community members who are hearing impaired. Junior Joanne Brandt and her signing teacher, Paul Curlis, will interpret the production. Groups wishing to reserve sections of the audience to accommodate the hearing impaired are asked to call the high school to make arrangements. Performances are set Friday and Saturday. Reduced price tickets are

available to students and senior citizens. The production is staged by Paul Mathis, instructor at the high school. For information and reservations, call 884-3475.
