Tradition Reigns In Holiday Events

OCEAN CITY — Three traditional hdliday programs have been scheduled here by the city. Historical Museum and Chamber of Commerce. . Saturday, the city will 'present its annual children's Christmas Coocert in cooperation with the ' Atlantic City Musicians' Union. The program, directed by Frank Rug- , gieri, will be held 11 a.m. at . the Music Pier, Boardwalk and Moorlyn Terrace. Ruggieri is conductor of the Ocean City "Pops".Orchestra, having been associated with the group for over 50 years. Nancy Fox-Hoover will be guest soprr 10 and Tom Perkins, barit' oe and emcee. THE CONCERT includes carols and traditional Christmas music plus a recitation of "The Night Before ChFistmas" by Perkins and Fox-Hoover. Musicians are provided free by Local 661-708 AF of L, Atlantic City. Following the concert, Santa Claus will arrive to greet youngsters and present gifts provided by the Policemen's Benevolent Assn. of Ocean City. The toys are for Ocean City youngsters and all children must be accomplanied by an adult. Also on Saturday, the Ocean City Historical Museum will hold its annual Sindia Day and Christmas party 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Museum. 409 1

Wesley Ave. The Art Center, located on the second floor of the building, will also hold an -open house. THE MUSEUM party will leature the St. Augustine's Glee Club with director Jo-El Park, "Bill B rues tie and the Sunshine Boys Banjo Band", Lumberjack cookies by Annetta Jeffries and hot mull»ed cider and other refreshments. On Saturday, Dec. 22, the • Chamber of Commerce presents its annual Carol Sing 7:30 p.m. at the Music Pier. Directed by Walter Fredericks, the program will include numbers by the ' Hand Bell Choir of St. John's Lutheran Church; the Ocean City Men's Chorus; Tricia Bowman, Miss Ocean City; Jo-El Park's St. Augustine's Glee Club in addition to the audience caroling. Miss Cape May Stars In 'Annie' MT HOLLY — Bettie 1 Ann Likens of Ocean City, who is Miss Cape May.

County and soon the talent j portion of the Miss New J Jersey pageant* will por/ tray "Grace" in the Center . Stage production of "Annie" opening at 8 p.n^ Friday. ^ The production directed by Joe Candelora of Seaville, also stars Michael Boyle of Sea Isle City as "Rooster." The production will also be presented on Dec. 16 at 2:30 p.m.; Dec. 21 at 8 p.m., Dec. 22 at 8 p.m., and Dec. 23 at 2: JO and 8 p.m. A graduate of Clemson University, likens has studied voice, piano and flute and worked as a writer for four years. She appeared as Laurie in the production^of "Oklahoma" at the 76 House Dinner Theatre in Swainton and also played in productions of "Finian's Rainbow," "Kiss Me Kate," and "Romeo and Juliet" in community theaters. ^ Boyle's appearance follows his run of "High Button Shoes," produced by Atlantic City Showmakers, where he splayed Harrison Floy, the HOSA Plans Pasta Fete COURT HOUSE - The HOSA organization ( Health Occupations Students of America) will sponsor a spaghetti dinner 4:39-7:30 pjm. Dec. 14, in the Cape May Vocation Technical School Cafeteria here. Meat or meatless sauce win be available.
