It seems we have reached a lull in higlf-school sports activity, although teams in girls and boys basketball and wrestling are gearing up for what appears to be an interesting season Meanwhile, here.-,

Cape Shore Holds Top Tennis Rung
COURT HOUSE - Town Team Tennis action at Jersey Cape Racquet Club continued as Cape Shore Realty and Cape Insurance faced off at the nets. Cape Insurance's ladies doubles team of Missy Whittington and Salli^Williams gave their team an early lead, winning their event 8-1 The men's doubles team of Jake Williams and Joe M alloy also gave Cape Insurance ? solid win. scoring 8-5. Cape Shore Realty was ready for revenge, however, as its mixed doubles team of Mary Fittipaldi and Tony Ferrante took the next event 8-3. CAPE SHORE Realty continued its winning ways as ladies singles player Tracey Hall swept past her opponent 8-1. Thad Grudin of Cape Shore ended the - evening's first event bygiving his team a solid win of 8-1 in the men's singles event. When the scores were tallied. Cape Shore came
out on top by the score oL 30-21 to win the first match of the evening. Avaion Real Estate and Apex Realty began the second match as Avalon's ladies doubles team of Roni Zane and Addle Martin topped their opponents by a score of 8-4. The men's doubles team of Bill Soens and Dave Kencontinued to add victory games to Avalon's tally as they steamrolled over their opponents 8-1. Apex Realty defaulted both the mixed doubles and Ladies Singles events to Avaion. The last event of the evening was men's singles, which also ended in victory for Avaion Real Estate as Lionel Deroaier had a solid 8-2 win. Avaion Real Estate ended the match with an impressive , score of 40-7 over Apex.
