CAPE MAY - The CView Inn took three of four games over FNB-Toms River in Women's Recreation Volleyball League action. The FNB Tomcats won the second game 15-12
while C-View took the other three by the scores of 15-8; 15-12; 8-3. C-View's Lynn Massimiano helped her team to an early lead in game one with her consistent serves The serves of Sue Longo and the bumps of Karen Steere helped theTTomcats gain the. lead in me middle of the con testv but they could not hold ift Game two wab a close game with freqifiGt lead changes. Great cflfes by Lynnetle Miller helped CView stay close in the game. FNB took the lead late and never looked back as bumps by Kathy Dever and serves by Gina Cardaci propelled them to their only victory. The third game saw FNB take the early lead behind spikes by Alda Ma gill. Jean Lloyd and Massimiano helped C-View regain the lead and bumps by Joan Grahn helped them preserve it. Time ran out during the fourth game as the C-View Inn was credited with a victory. THE TOP TWO teams in r the league split their four •games. Pete's Racquet Club won the first and last games by 15-9; awf 15-B. Kofia Realty won the middle contests 15-4 and 15-12. Game one saw Cathy Smith and Gerry Sberretta serve seven quick points for Pete's team. Sherry Layton retaliated for eight straight points for Kona Realty. Seven service points by Linda Martin plus the serves of Judy Mohler put the game out of reach and helped Pete's prevail. Game two saw Tash Jordan serve for eleven points to lead Kona to victory. Jordan helped Kona to an early lead in game three with her serves. Judy Ricco and Linda Martin propelled Pete's to a lfead in the middle of fhe game. After the score was tied at 12, Sherry Layton closed the game for Kona with the last three serves. Good bumps by Barb Haynes and Donna Mazurek helped Pete's Racquet Club gain an early lead in the last game. Cathy Smith bad four straight serves late in the game to lead Pete's team. A great spike by Barb Haynes helped her keep the serve. r
