CAPE MAY - Middle Recreation remained one game out of first placeln the city Women's Power Volleyball League after sweeping J.T. Builders four games to zero. The scores were 15-0; 15-2; 15-0; 15-13. The series of Peg Arnold and digs of Jan Seer, combined with talented net play of Robin Gilbert, were all Middle Rec needed in game one Game two was highlighted by the all
around effort of Pebble Brett and defense of Gwyn Williams. Brett's pinpoint serves and Trish Cowhey's spikes were too much for J.T. Builders in the third game. J.T. Builders played a great last game behind the strong play of Linda Thomas and Carol Addressa. However, the excellent play of Jan Seer, Gilbert, and Barb Hensil helped Middle Rec prevail. MUSCLE WORLD remained in third place as it
swept four games against the Needlers. Fine performances were turned in by Marion Lamach and Fone Laffey for the Needlers but it was not enough for the well balanced Muscle World. Game two saw fine spikes and serves by Daphne Sanderson and great net play by Betty Harshaw and June Reidenbach for Muscle World. Game three was highlighted by the digs of Debbie McFaU and spiking of Harshaw forpthe Needlers. 4n the ^fintl game, Jane Reiden bach's serves and Judy Maxlowe's bumps to Debbie McFall were the difference in the win for Needlers. The United States Coast Guard Waves and the Lobster House split their four games. The Coast Guard won the first and last games by the same score of 15-13. The Lobster House won the middle games by the scores of 15-5 and 15-8. AVALON - The Community Hall, 30th and Ayalon Avenue, is the center of the Recreation Department's winter programs. For the children the building is open for free activity Monday - 7-8 p.m.; Tuesday and Thursday 7-9 p.m.; Friday 7-10 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday (when available) 1-3 p.m. and 7-9 p.m The building will also be open daily for free activity during the school holidays The recreation Department also runs both boys' and girls' basketball -teams. A game schedule will be printed when it is finalized. '
