Academy to Give < Christmas Play * t

ERMA — The public is invited to South Jersey Christian Academy's annual Christmas program 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 18. Children from all grades will participate. Included will be a Christmas play, "The New Heart," which will be illustrated by musical and artistic, presentations. According to school art teacher Kate Oresic, who is co-directing the program along with Mrs. Eileep

Ricketts, the children will s not only be* performing, but also making the props for i! the dramatic production. S In conjunction with the Christmas program. Miss c Oresic also announced, r there will be an art show of t the students' work done so * far this school year. The*- I children's work, represen- I ting all grades, will he on 1 display in Michael Hall for C public viewing both before I and after the Christmas program. Ribbons will be awarded at the exhibit. ,

Conference At 1st UMC

WILD WOOD CREST - The First United Methodist Church meets for Lord's Day worship at 9:30 a.m. Sunday at 6700 Atlantic Ave. Children's Sunday Workshop is also at 9:30 a.m. There is an attended nursery. Sunday School for all age groups is at 10:45 a.m. Youth Group meets at 6 p.m. There will be no Sunday Evening worship this week in order that the congregation can visit with the Crest Community Church to hear the Angelus Chorus. Tuesday morning Ladies Bible study is at 9:30 a.m., also with an attended nursery. The Men's Fellowship meets Wednesday at 6:30 a.m. £

First Baptist ' Sets Supper WILDWOOD - Rev ' Dawn N. Mays will preach at the 11 a.m. worship service at the coming third Sunday in Advent. Sunday School begins at 9:30 a.m. A nursery and Junior Church are also provided. Cantata Slated at Tabernacle

ERMA — The Senior Choir of Tabernacle United Methodist Church will present a Christmas Cantata. "Child of Bethlehem", during the 11 a.m. service Sunday The cantata will be directed by Ornsby Kauf- . man and Kay Kaufman will the organist. Soloists' will include Dorothy Ash ton. Rev. Paul vander Tom Wilson, Dick and Jack Blair. Christine vander Loo and Blair will sing a duet.

The public is invited to attend. An old-fashioned carol sing will be featured during the 7 p.m. evening service Sunday. This service will feature well-loved Christmas carols as well as a time of personal introspection Mrs. vander Lob will be in charge of the service. Monday, Dec. 17, Young-in-Heart will meet at noon in Michael Hall, for a Christmas covered dish luncheon

'Nativity' At Crest

WILDWOOD CREST - Services begin Sunday at. the Crest Community Church with Sunday School at 9:45 a.m. There are classes for all ages. Nursery through adult. Morning worship Service with the Rev. Charles L. Rowe is at 11 a.m. in the sanctuary. The Cherub, Junior and Adult Choirs will perform under the direction of Bette Van Dyke. Organist. THE PRIMARY Depart ment of the Sunday School, dressed as shepherds, will act as Advent Angels, lighting the candles of the Advent Wreath and telling

the story of this Holy Season. Sunday evening at 7 in the sanctuary the Sunday School children, choifs, and members of the congregation will present "The Nativity". The com- s m unity is invited to join the program and the party afterward in the Social Hall.

Christmas Concert at Heritage NORTH CAPE MAY - Heritage Christian Academy will present its annual Christmas Concert Friday, beginning at 7 p.m. The presentation is under the direction of Miss Mildred Spriggs Selections include: "Listen to the Story", "Child In the Manger", and ""The Very First Christmas Day" A special feature this year is an adult choir composed of teachers and parents, who will sing two numbers. The concert, at 123 Fishing Creek Rd., is open to the public. The program will be braodcast over WSJL, 102.3 FM Saturday at 8 p.m.

Church Set As House Tour Host DENNISVILLE - Rev Robert W Hughes, minister, announced that the Dennisville United' Melhodist Church will have its 16th Annual Christmas Open House Tour in the State Designated Historic District, Thursday evening. Dec 27, from 6 to 10 -p.m Tickets and tour brochures will be in the church social hall. Free beverage and cookies will be provided. Twelve buildings will be open to welcome the visitors.
