r Students In Wind Ensemble

[ ERMA — Two students [ from Lower Cape May } Regional High School have . become the first students in [ Cape May Coanty to make f the South Jersey Wind . Ensemble. 5 They are Joanne Brandt, !" flautist, and Tim Cohen, ' percussionist. They were L accepted through a lengthy audition process which int eluded performance of \ compositions, scales, and sight reading. \ Joanne, a junior, scored ; fourth out of 88 students who auditioned, and Tim, a > senior, scored first. THE WIND Ensemble is among the most prestigious performing organizations in South I Jersey. Acceptance brings the double honor of performing as well in the South Jersey Orchestra. Joanne and Tim perform I in the high school's concert 1 band, the marching band, concert jazz ensemble, the pit orchestra, and many other small ensembles. Both will perform with 1 the orchestra 3 p.m.. Sunday Jan. 6, at Glassboro State College. Their performance with the wind ensemble will take place at Glassboro 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 13. New Head For Travel, Resort Unit CAPE MAY — Gloria Morrow-Winn has been named executive director of the New Jersey Travel and Resort Association, it was announced by Mark Soifer, president. Ms. Morrow-Winn succeeds E. Warren Garretson. long-time tourism marketing leader, who has accepted a position as vicepresident and comptroller of Thermo-Guard Co., Hammonton. THE NEW director is a native of North Carolina. She earned a B.A. degree from the University of North Carolina and an M.S. from Virginia Commonwealth University. An experienced association executive, Ms. MorrowWinn has been director of research and analysis with the Epilepsy foundation, Washington, D.C. and director of the National Foundation for Long Term Health Care in New York among other positions. The New Jersey Travel and Resort Association has been the voice of New Jersey tourism interests for over 30 years.
