9 Route 55 Study Set For March ' TRENTON — Porgress^ on the planned study of the j proposed South Jersey Highway between the Delaware Memorial Bridge and Atlantic City and the extension of Route 55 from Port Elizabeth to the Garden State Parkway has been reported by Assemblyman Guy Muziani, Cape MayCumberland. Middle Cops on Move COURT HOUSE - November was an active month for the Middle Township Police Department, which reports handling a total of 932 incidents for an average of more than 31 a day. # Burglaries were in the crime spotlight, with 25 reported, followed closely by thefts, including shoplifting, with 22, and criminal mischief, 21 . The burglar hunt was complicated by 72 false alarms which had to be - checked out. It was a L month of relative nonviolence, with 12 simple assaults and one atrocious assault reported. THERE WERE 122 miscellaneous disorderly acts complaints, 22 animal complaints, and 20 fire investigations. The department reported 43 motor vehicle accidents, one case of driving while intoxicated, and 77 other traffic-related incidents. Police issued 172 summonses, v Three were 51 arrests, inv eluding five of juveniles. The report was presented by Chief of Police Edward Hansen. I
