County Buys 4 Paintings
COURT HOU§E - Four paintings selected from art shows held in Cape May County during 1984 will become part of the county's permanent art collection following a presentation at a meeting of the Board of Freeholders at 4:30 p.m. tomorrow. Nancy O'Lone, coordinator for the Cape May County Cultural and Heritage Commission said the four paintings are the first art works purchased under a 51000 program approved by the Board of Freeholders from the
Cultural and Heritage Commission budget. Professional judges will select work done by four artists at juried art shows during the upcoming year and in subsequent years to select work of four artists. Selected artists will then sell their piece of art work to the Commission at the agreed price of 5250. Paintings to be presented include 'Carpano' by Raimond del Noce, Sr. ; 'Guard House' by Charles P. Lewis ; '91st St., Stone Harbor' by William C. Ressler and 'Checkerboard' by Peg Richards.
