Manger Scene Lives

ERMA — Tabernacle < United Methodist Senior 1 High youth group will pre- l sent a live manger scene on < the front lawn of the church i Sunday evening 6 : 30 to 8 : 30 with a break from 7:30 to 8. i Ken and Marti Warrington will appear as Mary and Joseph. Their one-year-old son, Kenneth Jon, will portray the Christ Child. Their daughter, Heidi, will appear as an angel. Members of the Senior High will portray shepherds, Wise Men and other angels. The lfve manger scene is an annual tradition with Tabernacle Methodist. The stable is loaned for the occasion by the Ted Dickinson family, and the animals are from the Shep Taylor farm. Paul and Dot Brant are Senior High youth coordinators. During the presentation of the live manger, the Sunday school will present its Christmas program inside the church. A puppet show,

entitled "Mary Had a Little Lamb," is a 35-minute music-drama which uniquely tells the birth of Christ as seen by the animals. The combination of Sunday School departments singing and 10 character parts tell in an inspired but simple way the Christmas story. THE PUPPETS AND PUPPET theater were made by the Dickinson family, and the puppets will be "manned" by Ted, Rose, Dan and Dawn Dickinson. Beverly Cardaci will have charge of the children's choir. Soloists include Amber Harrison, Amy Jorgensdn, Kim Chinn, Michelle Cook and Amy Cloer. Soloists from the Junior Department include Denis Chew, Tanja Blomstrom, Beth Landis, Amy McCloy and Dave Price. The program begins at 7 p.m. and the public is invited. Candlelight service will begin at 7 :30 p.m. The final candle of the Advent ( wreath, which signifies the birth of Christ, will be lit by the vander Loo family. Green Ck. Dedicating New Organ GREEN CREEK - The Green Creek Community Church, Delsea Drive, will ' dedicate its- new organ at the 11 a.m. Sunday worship service. Also, the church choir under the direction of Byron Smith will present the Christmas cantata, "Jesus Is Born", by John. Innes and Don Krueger. Organist will be Gladys E. Bowen, pianist Michelle Campbell and narrator William Hoffman. Sunday School meets at 9:45 a.m. with classes for all ages. A nursery is available. A Christmas Eve service will be conducted 7 p.m. Dec. 24. A joint evening service with Rio Grande Bible Church will be held 7 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 23. Candlelight Service Set By Friends SEAVILLE - The Seaville Friends (Quaker) Meeting announces a Christmas Eve candlelight meeting for worship, 8 p.m. Dec. 24 at the meetinghouse on Route 9 south of Route 50 here. The service will feature traditional Christmas carols and scripture reading, intermingled with periods of silent reflection. A time of fellowship and refreshments will follow. Visitors are welcome.

Rev. Joseph Muggleworth, pastor of Green Creek Community Church, will present a multi-media presentation on "Bethlehem: Birthplace of Your Savior". Following the presentation a candlelighting service will be held. The Rio Grande Bible church is at 206 Delsea Dr.
