The center affiliation af I fords the students first hand experience in the denI Lai field by working with the dentists and dental • technicians at the base dispensary The students will work at the center five days a week I for eight weeks AT THE BASE, the students will work in assisting the dentist in operative endodontics, root canal therapy, or prosthetics, that part of dentistry dealing with the . fabrication of dentures, partials and crowns They will assist in oral lurgery and oral hygiene, teaching the patient the proper method of brushing their teeth and good oral hygiene The students will also be working in radiology, taking and processing x-rays under the supervision of Charles McGinnis. The students are looking forward to the trip to the base Since they have i learned mo§t of the theory j involved ^ith dental assisting, the additional i "hands-on" practice and J experience will be invaluable. t \

Bill Aimed At Drugs For Moms TRENTON — Pregnant women would be guaranteed the right to know what drugs are prescribed for them under a bill sponsored by Assemblyman Guy F. Mu- * ziani that gained Assembly approval by a vote of 55-0. Muziani, R-Cape May, Cumberland, said the legislation (A- 1056) would require that information about drugs administered during pregnancy be provided to all women from the time their pregnancy is diagnosed until lifter birth. The bill (A-1056) has been released from the Assembly Corrections, Health and Human Service Committee §ept. 20. Patterned after legislation in other states, it would require doctors to inform an expectant mother of any side effects in addition to the benefits of drugs before they are administered.
