Abstract gg Exhibit OCEAN CITY — Large abstract paintings by Wallingford, Pa., artist Jesse Soifer, will be on display at the Ocean City Arts Center, 409 Wesley Ave., through January. The pen and ink drawings, some of which are nine feet wide, have been painted on a soaked surface. They are described as expressionistic drawings that seem to dissolve in and out of the paper. A teacher in the Ridley Park school system for 30 years, Soifer's paintings have been featured in leading galleries throughout the country. 1 Accompanying the paintings are poems by Soifer's twin brother, Mark. Most are from the book. "A Primitive Mind", recently published. Marky a Vineland resident, ha9 written five books of serious poetry and has y/ published six light verse / tales. The exhibit may be viewed Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. There will be a reception for the artist Jan. 25 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the center. Ray | Koob, Ocean City poet, will give a reading during the reception.
