New Cape Group Remembers MIA

VILLAS — Inspired by interest in the fate of Dyke Augustuc Spilman of Wildwood, a major in the Army who has been listed as missing in La os since 1966, a local organization has been formed. The "We Care" Committee for POW/MIAs was formed in November by Villas resident Jackie Svitak. Marine Grad CAPE MAY - Marine . Pfc. Joseph D. Crilly, son of Daniel *J. and Bettie A. Crilly of 900 Washington St;, has completed the Aviation Hydraulics Maintenance Course at the Naval Air Technical Training Center, Millington, Tenn.,

The organization is non- i profit, . non-partisan, and affiliated with the National League of POW and MIAs in Washington, D.C. THE PURPOSE of the group is t£ obtain the release of all prisoners taken in the Vietnam War, to obtain the fullest possible accounting of those missing, and to obtain the return of the remains of those who died fighting for their country. There are 2,483 Americans unaccounted for from the Vietnam conflict, says Svitak, and 64 are from New Jersey. The group asks that the public help by writing to members of the Senate and House of Representatives, the Presi-

dent, and the Vietnam Mission to the United Nations, 20 Waterside Plaza, New York, N.Y. 10010. SVITAK HAS been involved With the POW /MIA issue ever since the vyar. She is wearing a bracelet bearing Spilman's . name, and the organization urges others to do likewise. The bracelets are available for nominal donation. The organization meets monthly at 1 p.m. on the last Saturday at 1515 Bayshore Rd. here. The meetings are open tq the public, and anyone desiring more information on the issue is urged to attend. Svitak will attend a national seminar with the National League in Washington D.C. Jan. 24

School Asks Friends ' Aid On Labels NORTH CAPE MAY - Heritage Christian Academy will participate in the Labels for Education Program, which will allow the school to obtain audiovisual and athletic equipment free of charge, and is asking for help from its friends and supporters. The program is sponsored by the Campbell Soup Co. and works this way : The students will collect labels from all Campbell products (soups, V-8 juice, beans, tomato juice, Swanson products and Franco-American products). The school will redeem the labels at the end of the program for the equipment it chooses. SINCE MANY families use Campbell products, the school asks everyone to help by saving the front portion of the labels and ! giving them to one of the students, dropping them off at the school or mailing them to Heritage. The school will also be | collecting Post Fun-and-Fitness seals, found on : Post cereals. This program offers free, athletic equipment in exchange for the seals. Heritage Academy is located at 123 Fishing Creek Rd. ' Anyone with labels to donate, is urged to call the school at 886-3475.
